Emily Fish is the Product Accounting Specialist at LeaseQuery. She worked at Pier 1 Imports for six and a half years as Senior Manager of Lease Accounting and Audit. While there, she led the Pier 1 team for selection and implementation of new lease accounting software, as well as implementation of Topic 842. Her data migration, process design, and project management throughout software implementation was deemed to be the “Gold Standard” by the software company. Subsequently, her Topic 842 implementation resulted in zero findings from audit partner EY and earned her the designation of subject matter expert within the organization. As Product Accounting Specialist, Emily serves as the technical accounting resource to managed service clients. Additionally, she is responsible for testing key accounting functionality within the software to ensure compliance with accounting guidance, and designing workflow for product enhancements.
