Course Description
This webinar will provide a practical and SOX-focused overview of program development controls within an IT general controls framework. Participants will learn when program development controls are in scope, how they differ from change management controls, and the financial reporting risks they are designed to mitigate.
The session will cover key control categories including requirements definition, design review, testing, UAT, and go-live approval, as well as common design and operating effectiveness deficiencies observed in SOX audits. Emphasis will be placed on auditor expectations, documentation requirements, and the importance of identifying one-time implementation evidence early in the audit process.
