Course Description
Small and medium-sized businesses are especially vulnerable to fraud when limited staffing, informal processes, and inadequate oversight create gaps in financial controls. This webinar will examine common fraud risks involving vendors, invoices, payments, corporate cards, and employee expenses—and the practical governance and internal control measures SMBs can implement to reduce those risks.
Learning Objectives
- Identify common fraud risks and control weaknesses within the accounts payable, vendor management, corporate card, and employee expense processes of small and medium-sized businesses.
- Recognize how governance practices—including segregation of duties, documented approval authority, role-based access, spending policies, and management oversight—can help prevent or detect fraudulent transactions.
