Taj Hollis
Senior Manager, Deloitte
Taj Hollis leads events for the Grand Valley State University Accounting Alumni Association. Taj is a Senior Manager in Deloitte's Tax Management Consulting practice and a leader of Deloitte's Advanced Automation team. She joined Deloitte in 2001 and has over eighteen years of experience serving some of the firm’s largest multinational clients and middle-market companies. She is know for delivering tax solutions that allow companies to streamline and automate processes to add value, manage risk, and increase efficiencies.
Taj has lead (1) attribute studies within the international tax area, such as E&P and stock basis, 987 gains/losses, 861 allocation and apportionment studies, and advising companies within the export incentives space; (2) global robotics process automation (RPA) delivery in the tax arena, including process redesign, infrastructure consulting, business case development, vendor selection consulting, proof of concept/pilot development, and process prioritization; and (3) use of other automation tools such as data wrangling, custom programming, or cognitive technologies to advise companies on cost-effective, stable solutions for process automation.
Taj is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Michigan and Minnesota. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Taj received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

The GVSU Accounting Alumni Chapter sponsors a number of activities and programs centered on the group’s mission of “Building Community and Opportunity among Accounting Alumni, Students, and Faculty”.
Events and programs include:
The accounting mentor program which pairs GVSU accounting students with mentors.
The annual golf outing which raises funds for accounting scholarships and the School of Accounting development fund.
Continuing Professional Education opportunities
Periodic happy hour events and the annual reunion.
Opportunities to volunteer in the classroom by participating in juried presentations or speaking on various topics.
Students are encouraged to become a part of the Accounting Alumni Chapter upon graduation. Not only is this a great way to stay in touch with friends you’ve made in school and network with other professionals, it is also a wonderful way to give back to the School of Accounting.
