Russ is a Partner in Connor Group's Technical Accounting practice, leading the firm's DC Metro. With over 17 years of experience, he has worked with a diverse range of organizations, from early private companies to the Fortune 500. His expertise spans accounting, reporting, and internal controls, including technical accounting, audit support, IPO readiness, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, M&A, bankruptcies, restatements, and material weaknesses. Russ has significant experience in satellite/telecom, aerospace & defense, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology sectors.​ 

Before joining Connor Group, Russ led audit and advisory engagements at Deloitte for public and private companies across various industries, including satellite/telecom, aerospace & defense, manufacturing, technology, and life sciences. As an advisor, he guided companies through accounting policy, bankruptcy, material weaknesses, and restatement matters.​​ 

Russ holds a BSBA in Accounting from the University of Richmond, where he currently serves as Vice Chair of the Accounting Advisory Board. He also earned a Master of Accountancy from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and is a licensed CPA in Virginia.
