Laura has nearly 20 years of experience advising multi-national clients through multibillion-dollar transactions, including IPOs, M&A, spinoffs/divestitures, and GAAP change. She has extensive technical knowledge of complex accounting (e.g., revenue recognition, business combinations, stock-based compensation) and financial reporting requirements and their application to both private and public companies. She has led high-growth clients through successful IPO/SPAC exits and understands the risks and complexities associated with the SEC registration process. Her diverse client portfolio includes technology, media, telecommunication, industrial products, and consumer market companies ranging in size from small startups to large, accelerated filers. Laura has significant exposure to international companies including large operations in Europe, APAC, and LATAM. She has traveled extensively for her clients and provided hands-on support during transformational events (e.g., GAAP change, M&A). 

Prior to joining Connor Group, Laura was a Managing Director in PwC’s Deals practice in the Atlanta and New York offices. She was selected by leadership to drive PwC’s Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) implementation efforts for the TMT sector. Laura was the national leader for learning and development (L&D) for the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services team and championed a transformational initiative to redesign the L&D experience. 

Laura is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and actively mentors women and working moms.  Laura earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters of Accountancy degrees from the University of Georgia. She is a licensed CPA in Georgia and New York (inactive).
