Over the last three years we have gotten to know QX Accounting Services (QXAS), and we are thrilled to host the QXAS team for their first free CPE webinar with Encoursa next month. We reached out to Shaishav Dave (pronounced Shay-Show), Associate Vice President of U.S. Operations at QXAS to talk about his team, what he enjoys most about working with U.S. accountants, the some of the fun things he’s been up to lately.

Shaishav joined QXAS 7 years ago when QXAS launched their U.S. Accounting team. He has been an Indian Qualified Chartered Accountant since 2012 and recently passed all the qualifications to became a Certified Public Accountant. Shaishav now leads a team of managers, team leaders, customer relationship managers, senior accounts officers, and accounts officers who work side-by-side with accounting firms here in the U.S.

Just like many business leaders in the U.S., Shaishav said he most enjoys interacting with clients, getting to know them, and learning their expectations to ensure his team can deliver excellent work products. The QXAS team performs tax and bookkeeping work, and beyond that seeks to truly add meaning to management. Shaishav explained how his team is able to add value in how they customize financial reporting in a way that management can easily understand, and they tailor their reporting to the client’s industry. Along with management reporting, the QXAS team handles simple to complex US Federal & State Taxes and helps clients deliver a faster turnaround. 

The team at QXAS brings deep experience across all of the popular accounting & tax software platforms, and when called upon, often introduces best practices as they build relationships with their client accounting firms. Shaishav plays an important role in on-boarding clients, matching staff to projects, and setting service levels. Some QXAS team members work the same hours alongside their U.S. counterparts, and others work during their day while we are sleeping here in the U.S which means they can have completed work products ready in the morning!

When we spoke, Shaishav shared that he enjoyed celebrating Diwali leading up to the new year in India and he has been enjoying watching Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket. One of Shaishav’s favorite things to do is to travel and try new foods. It was fun to hear about his travels to Kerala where he tried a delicious Uttapam dish. Uttapam is somewhat like pancakes with a delicious variety of savory topics.
