During 2018, Encoursa and LeaseQuery partnered together to create a six-part webinar series on the new lease accounting standards. The Encoursa audience provided fantastic feedback for the program and we are excited to offer it again next year!

The LeaseQuery team has been busy, and they are excited to annouce a new addition to their team that will further boost their technical expertise on the topic of lease accounting under both GAAP and IFRS.

"LeaseQuery, a leading provider of lease accounting software, has announced today that EY alum Jennifer Booth has joined the company as vice president of accounting. Booth will be assisting LeaseQuery’s clients as they adopt new regulations that change the way companies account for their leases. She will also serve as a key resource for training LeaseQuery’s internal accountants on the intricacies of lease accounting.

“Jennifer will enable us to significantly enhance the level of service that we provide to our clients,” said George Azih, LeaseQuery founder and chief executive officer. “The new lease accounting standard creates new complications for our clients. They will benefit from having direct access to someone with her depth of experience, and our in-house accountants will be able to bolster their lease accounting expertise with her invaluable guidance.”

“This is an exciting opportunity to join such a unique organization at such a pivotal time,” said Booth. “At EY, I assisted clients with understanding and accounting for the new lease standard, which can be very complex. LeaseQuery gives me an opportunity to apply that experience and be part of the solution. I appreciate both the accounting-focused atmosphere here led by a CEO who wants to get to the right GAAP-based answer and a tool that will make accounting for leases much easier for our clients.”

Booth was with EY for 16 years, working in the assurance practice―14 of which were in audit, and two of which were in technical accounting and advisory. Lease accounting was one of her focus areas; she was a part of EY’s Lease Expert Network and served as one of the company’s subject matter experts on leases.

Booth also managed her own projects and assisted clients with their implementations of the new standard. In that capacity, she helped them interpret the standard, select accounting policies, and apply the standard to their lease arrangements.

Additionally, Booth has experience in helping clients identify cloud-computing solutions and the accounting implications of their choices. This type of technical experience, in addition to her experience leading internal training on leases and cloud computing topics, makes her uniquely qualified to guide LeaseQuery’s clients and in-house accountants through the transition to the new lease accounting standard."

Congratulations to Jennifer and the LeaseQuery team!
